Gleit in Polish means pass. In the old days, a glejt was necessary to travel through any specific territory.
Refugee is a specific state of displacement, being cut off from the context of one's permanent and stable life.
Out of context is a situation in which an object is drastically deprived of the connections in which it could continue its existence and further develop.
Exile is a special example of separating the subject from the context. The clearest form of this example is solitary exile, where the object is partly decontextualized and located in a kind of vacuum. The material equivalent of its vitality in such a situation is money itself.
Each human heartbeat costs a certain amount of resources, so an object's lifespan directly correlates with the amount of money it can use. In this sense, the act of using money is an act of continuing life. But at the same time, it is an approach to the end where the resource is limited.
Thus, money plays the role of the equivalent of getting time, and in particular the period of life of the object, which can be extended.
An ordinary banknote is therefore a sign and symbol of the pass to the future, with which something can be done.
Glejt is a video work in which the viewer is invited to explore the essence of this pass.
